Option to disable continuous compass calibration

Typ: New feature • ID: CH-61004
A new setting allows users to turn off continuous automatic compass calibration. After disabling function, a manual calibration must be performed using the “Calibrate Compass” button. This calibration is saved and will no longer change automatically.

When continuous calibration is enabled:

The handheld device continuously adjusts the compass calibration during normal use. If the device is brought close to metal or magnetic objects for a longer period of time, the calibration may shift. After returning the device to its original environment, the compass may temporarily display an incorrect direction and requires several movements or rotations of the device to realign properly.

When continuous calibration is disabled:

The device calculates the compass calibration only when the “Calibrate Compass” button is pressed and then keeps this calibration fixed. Temporary proximity to metal or magnetic objects will affect the compass only while the device is near these materials. Once moved away, the compass immediately returns to the previously calibrated and correct direction without any need for further movement.

Configurable vibration count for motion detection alerts

Typ: New feature • ID: CH-61005
Users can now set the number of vibrations for the “Motion Detection” notification from 1 to 4 vibrations. This allows identifying which dog triggered the alert based on vibration pattern, even without looking at the display.

Saving current data for recovery

Typ: New feature • ID: CH-61006
Last known dog positions are now preserved across controller restarts. After powering back on, the controller automatically restores and displays each dog’s most recently received position, so tracking continues seamlessly even after a rare, unexpected restart.
